Do You Have A Project You’d Like To Discuss?
Tarmacadam
Tarmacadam/Tarmac is a highly versatile & durable surfacing material which, when laid and cured fully becomes an extremely strong & resilient surface.
Tarmac can be machine or hand laid depending on the size of the area, tarmacadam consists of tar and aggregates (available in different sizes) and is very hard wearing.
Naturally a dark coloured bituminous material (available in red or black) that can be laid on almost any surface with the right preperation. When compressed the broken stones are held together by the tar giving the look and finish of a long lasting and highly durable tarmacadam surface.
Surface Dressing
Surface dressing offers a quick, efficient and cost-effective way of maintaining Tarmac or hard standing surfaces, helping to prevent future deterioration. It is also used with decorative aggregates which can be more in keeping with certain types of properties.
As well as tarmacadam, surface dressing can also be machine or hand laid depending on the size of the area. Surface dressing consists of spraying the existing surface with a layer of bitumen then spreading loose chipping or decorative aggregates over the top. The chippings/aggregate are then rolled into the bitumen.
Resin Bound
A resin bound system is a surfacing solution that results from mixing resin and aggregates together. A resin bound system is also known as a ‘stone carpet’. Its seamless finish provides a decorative surface that is attractive and durable.
Resin bound surfacing can be laid on top of existing tarmac or concrete surfacing as long as this layer is solid. Using a resin bound system allows us to combine different sizes and colours of stone, offering a wide variety of finishes. A resin bound system is one of the highest quality and most durable aggregate-based surface solution currently available.
